ARMA International is a not-for-profit association serving more than 10,000 information management professionals in the United States, Canada and over 30 other nations.
The Greater Columbus Chapter of ARMA was chartered on September 11, 1969. It has over 70 active members working in a wide variety of jobs and organizations. The Chapter has monthly meetings with either an educational speaker or a tour of a Records Management facility or operation. The Chapter also sponsors an annual Seminar that is jam-packed full of information on an important Records Management issue. In 2002, we provided a daylong seminar on the topic of "Key Records Management Issues in the 21st Century". Four main issues were discussed: The Value of Records Management, Text Retrieval Technology, Document Imaging and Micrographics, and Knowledge Management and Records Management. A dynamic veteran in the field of records management, Dr. William Saffady, gave the seminar.
